WOOWOOPALOOZA

let the journey begin..............

If you are alone and you think you are having
a heart attack and can't make it to hospital what are you going to do?
If you feel you are having a heart attack, heart beating improperly and
begins to feel faint, you only have about 10 seconds left before losing
consciousness. Take a deep breath before each cough, cough and
very vigourously, the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when
producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough
must be repeated about ever 2 seconds without stopping until help
arrives, or your heart is beating normally again. The reason for this is
deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs plus coughing movements squeeze
the heart and keeps the blood circulating. Squeezing pressure on the heart
helps it regain normal rhythm. By doing this you may safe your own life.

Recognizing a stroke could be difficult to indentify. Here are some signs
to help you recognize the syptoms: Ask the individual to smile. Ask the
person to talk. To speak a simple sentence (Coherently) is it cold out
today. Ask them to raise both arms. A neurologist says that if he can get
to a stroke victim he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke totally.
A stroke victim only has 3 hours to get the best treatment. Also another
sign of a stroke is the victims tongue. Ask them to stick their tongue out,
if the tongue is crooked or if it goes to one side or the other is also an
indication. Please be aware.

Please take a good look at this picture of this spider.
It is call a Brown Recluse Spider, It is very poisonous.
If you have a weak stomach you might not beable to
look at the pictures below as they show a persons
hand after a spider had bit them. Look at pictures at
your own risk.

A spider bite...please read...........
AND YOU THOUGHT THE BROWN RECLUSE WAS BAD!!!
THREE WOMEN IN NORTH FLORIDA, TURNED UP AT HOSPITALS OVER A
5-DAY PERIOD, AND ALL WITH THE SAME SYMPTONS. FEVER, CHILLS,
AND VOMITING, FOLLOWED BY MUSCULAR COLLAPSE, PARALYSIS, AND
FINALLY, DEATH. THERE WERE NO OUTWARD SIGNS OF TRAUMA, AUTOPSY
RESULTS SHOWED TOXICITY IN THE BLOOD. THESE WOMEN DID NOT KNOW
EACH OTHER, AND SEEMED TO HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON. IT WAS
DISCOVERED, HOWEVER, THAT THEY HAD ALL VISIT THE SAME RESTAURANT
(OLIVE GARDEN) WITHIN DAYS OF THEIR DEATHS. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT
DESCENDED ON THE RESTAURANT, SHUTTING IT DOWN. THE FOOD, WATER,
AND AIR CONDITIONING WERE ALL INSPECTED AND TESTED, TO NO AVAIL.

THE BIG BREAK CAME WHEN A WAITRESS AT THE RESTAURANT WAS RUSHED
TO THE HOSPITAL WITH SIMILAR SYMPTOMS. SHE TOLD DOCTORS THAT SHE HAD
BEEN ON VACATION, AND HAD ONLY WENT TO THE RESTAURANT TO PICK UP HER
CHECK. SHE DID NOT EAT OR DRINK WHILE SHE WAS THERE, BUT SHE USED THE
RESTROOM. THAT IS WHEN ONE TOXICOLOGIST, REMEMBERING AN ARTICLE HE
HAD READ, DROVE OUT TO THE RESTAURANT, WENT INTO THE RESTROOM, AND
LIFTED THE TOILET SEAT. UNDER THE SEAT. OUT OF NORMAL VIEW, WAS A SMALL
SPIDER. THE SPIDER WAS CAPTURED AND BROUGHT BACK TO THE LAB, WHERE IT
WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE TWO STRIPED TELAMONIA (TELAMONIA DIMIDIATA), SO
NAMED BECAUSE OF ITS REDDENED FLESH COLOR. THIS SPIDER'S VENOM IS
EXTREMELY TOXIC, BUT CAN TAKE SEVERAL DAYS TO TAKE EFFECT. THEY LIVE IN
COLD, DARK, DAMP CLIMATES, AND TOILET RIMS PROVIDE JUST THE RIGHT
ATMOSPHERE.

SEVERAL DAYS LATER A LAWYER FROM JACKSONVILLE SHOWED UP AT A HOSPITAL
EMERGENCY ROOM. BEFORE HIS DEATH, HE TOLD THE DOCTOR, THAT HE HAD BEEN
AWAY ON BUSINESS, HAD TAKEN A FLIGHT FROM INDONESIA, CHANGING PLANES IN
SINGAPORE, BEFORE RETURNING HOME. HE DID NOT VISIT (OLIVE GARDEN), WHILE
THERE. HE DID, AS DID ALL OF THE OTHER VICTIMS, HAVE WHAT WAS DETERMINED
TO BE A PUNCTURE WOUND, ON HIS RIGHT BUTTOCK.

INVESTIGATORS DISCOVERED THAT THE FLIGHT HE WAS ON HAD ORIGINATED IN INDIA.
THE CIVILIAN AERONAUTICS BOARD (CAB) ORDERED AN IMMEDIATE INSPECTION OF THE
TOILETS OF ALL FLIGHTS FROM INDIA, AND DISCOVERED THE TWO STRIPED TELAMONIA
(TELAMONIA DIMIDIATA) SPIDER'S NEST ON 4 DIFFERENT PLANES!
IT IS NOW BELIEVED THAT THESE SPIDERS CAN BE ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. SO
PLEASE, BEFORE YOU USE A PUBLIC TOILET, LIFT THE SEAT TO CHECK FOR SPIDERS.
IT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BEES Are you allergic to bees? Well this
one person was went to doctor. Went to doctor as arm was                                                                                  swollen they got cream and an antihisimine. Next day back
at doctors office. As the arm had swell progressively worse so
they needed an antibiotic. Then doctor says: The next time you
get stung put a penny on the bit for 15 minutes. Who would think
of that? Well there niece was over swimming got stung twice and
the bites were beginning to swell. In the house put a penny on both
bites for 15 minutes. Next morning there was no sign of a bite. Oh
she is just not allergic to bees. But then that person who was allergic
got stung again. No doctor. Got the pennies out for 15 minutes and
everything was okay. The doctor says that somehow the copper in
a  penny counteracts the bite. I wouldnt believe it but a couple of
people have and says it works. Use at your own risk.....

                                                Ovarian Cancer

Years ago, Gilda Radner died of ovarian cancer. Her symptoms were inconclusive, and she was treated for everything under the sun until it was too late. This blood test finally ide ntified her illness but alas, too late. She wrote a book to heighten awareness. Gene Wilder is her widower.
KATHY'S STORY: this is the story of Kathy West
As all of you know, I have Primary Peritoneal Cancer. This cancer has only recently been identified as its OWN type of cancer, but it is essentially Ovarian Cancer.
Both types of cancer are diagnosed in the same way, with the 'tumor marker' CA-125 BLOOD TEST, and they are treated in the same way - surgery to remove the primary tumor and then chemotherapy with Taxol and Carboplatin.
One thing I have learned is that each of us must take TOTAL responsibility= for our own health care. I thought I had done that because I always had an annual physical and PAP smear, did a monthly Self-Breast Exam, went to the dentist at least twice a year, etc. I even insisted on a sigmoidoscopy and a bone density test last year. When I had a total hysterectomy in 1993, I thought that I did not have to worry about getting any of the female re productive organ cancers.
LITTLE DID I KNOW. I don't have ovaries (and they were HEALTHY when they were removed), but I have what is essentially ovarian cancer. Strange, isn't it?
The 'CLASSIC' symptoms are an ABDOMEN that rather SUDDENLY ENLARGES and CONSTIPATION and/or DIARRHEA.
I had these classic symptoms and went to the doctor. Because these symptoms seem d to be 'abdominal', I went to a gastroenterologist. He ran tests that were designed to determine whether there was a bacteria infection; these tests were negative, and I was diagnosed with 'Irritable Bowel Syndrome'. I guess I would have accepted this diagnosis had it not been for my enlarged abdomen. I swear to you, it looked like I was 4-5 months pregnant! I therefore insisted on more tests

They took an X-ray of my abdomen; it was negative. I was again assured that I had Irritable Bowel Syndrome and was encouraged to go on my scheduled month-long trip to Europe . I couldn't wear any of my slacks or shorts because I couldn't get them buttoned, and I KNEW something was radically wrong. I INSISTED on more tests, and they reluctantly) scheduled me for a CT-Scan (just to shut me up, I think). This is what I mean by 'taking charge of our own health care.'
The CT-Scan showed a lot of fluid in my abdomen (NOT normal). Needless to say, I had to cancel my trip and ha ve FIVE POUNDS of fluid drawn off at the hospital (not a pleasant experience I assure you), but NOTHING compared to what was ahead of me.
Tests revealed cancer cells in the fluid. Finally, finally, finally, the doctor ran a CA-125 blood test, and I was properly diagnosed.
I HAD THE CLASSIC SYMPTOMS FOR OVARIAN CANCER, AND YET THIS SIMPLE CA-125 BLOOD TEST HAD NEVER BEEN RUN ON ME, not as part of my annual physical exam and not when I was symptomatic. This is an inexpensive and simple blood test!

IMPORTANT Health Information From Johns-Hopkins

Bottled water in your car is very dangerous.

This is how Sheryl Crow got breast cancer.  She was on the Ellen show and said this same exact thing.  This has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels in breast cancer.

The Doctor told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.

He said that the heat and the plastic of the bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast cancer .  So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car, and, pass this on to all the women in your life.
This information is the kind we need to know and be aware of ,that just might save us!  The heat causes toxins from the plastic to leak into the water and they have found these toxins in breast tissue.  Use a stain less steel Canteen or a glass bottle when you can!

LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / GIRLFRIEND / DAUGHTER KNOW PLEASE.

This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

No plastic containers in microwave.

No water bottles in freezer

 No plastic wrap in microwave.

A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic
bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital ,was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us..

He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers...

This especially applies to foods that contain fat.

He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin
into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body...

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as   Corning  Ware, Pyrex or ceramic
containers for heating food.. You get the same results, only without the dioxin.

So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc.,
should be removed from the container and heated in something else.

Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper.
It's just safer to use tempered glass,   Corning  Ware, etc.

He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away
from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons...

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when
placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high
heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.

Cover food with a paper towel instead.

This is an article that should be sent

To anyone important in

Your life

I am asking you to read this article to the end.

My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus that she pureed and she took 4 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3 lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she does not need to see him for 3 months.

THE ARTICLE:
Several years ago, I had a man seeking asparagus for a friend who had cancer. He gave me a photocopied copy of an article, entitled, `Asparagus for cancer' printed in Cancer News Journal, December 1979.

I will share it here, just as it was shared with me: 'I am a biochemist, and have specialized in the relation of diet to health for over 50 years..Several years ago, I learned of the discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus might cure cancer.

Since then, I have worked with him on his project. We have accumulated a number of favorable case histories.

Here are a few examples:

Case No. 1, A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely
incapacitated.  Within 1 year of starting the asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.

Case No. 2, a successful businessman 68 years old who suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. After years of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he went on asparagus. Within 3 months, examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had disappeared and that his kidneys were normal.

Case No. 3, a man who had lung cancer. On March 5th 1971, he was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless. On April 5th he heard about the asparagus therapy and immediately started taking it. By August, x-ray pictures revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared. He is back at his regular business routine.

Case No. 4, a woman who was troubled for a number of years with skin cancer. She finally developed different skin cancers which were diagnosed by asking specialist as advanced.. Within 3 months after starting on asparagus, her skin specialist said that her skin looked fine and no more skin lesions. This woman reported that the asparagus therapy also cure her kidney disease, which started in 1949. She had over 10 operations for kidney stones, and was receiving government disability payments for an inoperable, terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus.

I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of material medica', edited in 1854 by a Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, stated that asparagus was used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of asparagus in dissolving stones.

We would have other case histories but the medical establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to spread this good news and help us to gather a large number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical skeptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy.

For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using, and therefore canned asparagus is just as good as fresh. I have corresponded with the two leading canners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives.

Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to make a puree, and store in the refrigerator. Give the patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening.

Patients usually show some improvement in from 2-4 weeks.  It can be diluted with water and used as a cold or hot drink. This
suggested dosage is based on present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases.

As a biochemist I am convinced of the old saying that 'what cures can prevent'. Based on this theory, my wife and I have been using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals.

We take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste with  breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my wife prefers hers cold. For years we have made it a practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our regular checkups..

The last blood survey, taken by a medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional approach to health, showed substantial improvements in all categories over the last one, and we can attribute these improvements to nothing but the asparagus drink...

As a biochemist, I have made an extensive study of all aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As a result, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better with the latest theories about cancer. Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth. For that reason, I believe asparagus can be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and in acting as a general body tonic.

In any event, regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from using it and it may do you much good.

It has been reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that asparagus is the highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body's most potent anticarcinogens and antioxidants.

Subject: A Nurse's Experience...

A NURSE'S HEART ATTACK EXPERIENCE
This has been  passed on from an ER nurse and is the best description of this event that she had ever heard. Please read, pay attention, and send it on!
 FEMALE HEART ATTACKS
I was aware that female heart attacks are different, but this is the best description I've ever read.
Women and heart attacks (Myocardial
I infarction).  Did you know that women rarely have the same dramatic symptoms that men have when experiencing heart attack .... you know, the sudden stabbing pain in the chest, the cold sweat, grabbing the chest and dropping to the floor that we see in the movies.  Here is the story of one woman's experience with a heart attack..
I had a heart attack at about 10:30 p.m. with NO prior exertion, NO prior emotional trauma that one would suspect might've brought it on.
I was sitting all snugly & warm on a cold evening, with my purring cat in my lap, reading an interesting story my friend had sent me, and actually thinking,  'A-A-h, this is the life, all cozy and warm in my soft, cushy Lazy Boy with my feet propped up.
A moment later, I felt that awful sensation of indigestion, when you've been in a hurry and grabbed a bite of sandwich and washed it down
with a dash of water, and that hurried bite seems to feel like you've swallowed a  golf ball going down the esophagus in slow motion and it is most uncomfortable.. You realize you shouldn't have gulped it down so fast and needed to chew it more thoroughly and this time drink a glass of water to hasten its progress down to the stomach. This was my initial sensation---the only trouble was that I hadn't taken a bite of anything since about 5:00 p.m.
After it seemed to subside, the next sensation was like little squeezing motions that seemed to be racing up my SPINE (hind-sight, it was probably my aorta spasming), gaining speed as they continued racing up and under my sternum (breast bone, where one presses rhythmically when administering CPR).
This fascinating process continued on into my throat and branched out into both jaws.  'AHA!! NOW I stopped puzzling about what was happening -- we all have read and/or heard about pain in the jaws being one of the signals of an MI happening, haven't we?  I said aloud to myself and the cat, 'Dear God, I think I'm having a heart attack!'
I lowered the footrest dumping the cat from my lap, started to take a step and fell on the floor instead. I thought to myself, if this is a heart attack, I shouldn't be walking into the next room where the phone is or anywhere else ... but, on the other hand, if I don't, nobody will know that I need help, and if I wait any longer I may not be able to get up
 in moment.
I pulled myself up with the arms of the chair, walked slowly into the next room and dialed 911 (the Paramedics). I told her I thought I was having a heart attack due to the pressure building under the sternum and radiating into my jaws. I didn't feel hysterical or afraid, just stating the facts.  She said she was sending the Paramedics over immediately, asked if the front door was near to me, and if so, to unbolt the door and then lie down on the floor where they could see me when they came in.
I unlocked the door and then lay down on the floor as instructed and lost consciousness, as I don't remember the medics coming in, their examination, lifting me onto a gurney or getting me into their ambulance, or hearing the call they made to St.. Jude ER on the way, but I did briefly awaken when we arrived and saw that the Cardiologist was already there in his surgical blues and cap, helping the medics pull my stretcher out of the ambulance. He was bending over me asking questions (probably something like  'Have you taken any medications?'') but I couldn't make my mind interpret what he was saying, or form an answer, and nodded off again, not waking up until the Cardiologist and partner had already threaded the teeny angiogram balloon up my femoral artery into the aorta and into my heart where they installed 2 side by  side stents to hold open my  right coronary artery.
I know it sounds like all my thinking and actions at home must have taken at least 20-30 minutes before calling the Paramedics, but actually it took perhaps 4-5 minutes before the call, and both the fire station and St. Jude are only minutes away from my home, and my Cardiologist was already to go to the OR in his scrubs and get going on restarting my heart (which had stopped somewhere
between my arrival and the procedure) and installing the stents.
Why have I written all of this to you with so much detail? Because I want all of you to know what I learned first hand.

1.  Be aware that something very different is happening in your body not the usual men's symptoms but inexplicable things happening (until my sternum and jaws got into the act).  It is said that many more women than men die of their first (and last) MI  because they didn't know they were having one and commonly mistake it as indigestion, take some Maalox or other anti-heartburn preparation and go to bed, hoping they'll feel better in the morning when they wake up ... which doesn't happen.  My female friends, your symptoms might not be exactly like mine, so I advise you to call the Paramedics if ANYTHING is unpleasantly happening that you've not felt before. It is better to have a 'false alarm' visitation than to risk your life guessing what it might be!

2.  Note that I said ''Call the Paramedics.'' And if you can, take an aspirin.  Ladies, TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!
Do NOT try to drive yourself to the ER you are a hazard to others on the road.
Do NOT have your panicked husband who will be speeding and looking anxiously at what's happening with you instead of the road.
Do NOT call your doctor -- he doesn't know where you live and if it's at night you won't reach him anyway, and if it's daytime, his assistants (or answering service) will  tell you to call the Paramedics. He doesn't carry the equipment in his car that you need to be saved! The Paramedics do, principally OXYGEN that you need ASAP. Your Dr.. will be
 notified later.

3.   Don't assume it couldn't be a heart attack because you have a normal cholesterol count.  Research has discovered that a cholesterol elevated reading is rarely the cause of an MI (unless it's unbelievably high and/or accompanied by high blood pressure). MI's are usually caused by long-term stress and inflammation in the  body, which dumps all sorts of deadly hormones into your system to sludge things up in there.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.
Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.
